We are hiring

Two founding-team positions in product development

We are a five-person company. These are the first two engineering hires. You will not be given a narrow ticket queue — you will be given a product.

OPEN POSITIONS

Two roles, open now

Position 1

Engineer

Electronics / Mechatronics · Product Development

Help design, build, test and field-deploy autonomous, solar-powered electronic systems — from the sensor and the PCB all the way to the radio link, the server, and the mast it stands on. From month three you own the RF and data link and the ground-station software, end to end.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Everything in our products has come off one bench

All of our innovation today runs through one person — our founding innovator. He conceives the product, designs the mechanics, fabricates it, designs the PCB, writes the firmware, writes the software and commissions it in the field.

These two positions exist to build a team around him. You will sit next to the person who built the product, learn how the whole system fits together — sensors, boards, firmware, radios, servers, mast, enclosure — and take real ownership of parts of it. At this stage of a career that exposure is very difficult to get anywhere else.

If you want to learn a complete product end to end, get your hands dirty, and see your work installed and working in the field within months — read on. If you want a large, structured corporate environment with a defined ticket queue, this is honestly not the right role, and we would rather you knew that now.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND WORKING TERMS

The whole package, stated plainly

These terms apply to both positions unless stated otherwise. They are set out in full because we would rather you evaluated the whole package than the headline number.

Salary

100% fixed pay

  • Engineer: ₹4,50,000 – ₹6,50,000 per annum, fixed.
  • Technician: ₹20,000 – ₹32,000 per month, fixed.
  • No variable or “performance-linked” component to chase. What we offer you is what reaches you.
  • Paid on a fixed date every month. Not “by the first week”. A date.
  • EPF from day one, with the employer contribution over and above the salary figures quoted.
Insurance

Cover that includes your parents

  • Medical cover of ₹5,00,000 as a family floater — including your parents. This is not standard at a company of our size. We think it should be.
  • Personal accident cover for both roles, given the field and at-height work.
The Gandhinagar deployment

First two months

  • Accommodation and travel arranged and paid for by the company, over and above your salary. You will not be asked to pay first and claim later.
  • A deployment allowance paid in addition to salary for the whole posting — fortnightly and in advance, not reimbursed at month end.
  • One paid round trip home during the deployment.
  • A relocation and setup allowance paid when you return to Hyderabad, to cover the deposit and setting up your accommodation there.
  • The end of the deployment is written into your offer letter as a calendar date, not as “about two months”.
Review and progression

Numbers in writing, before you join

  • A written salary review at 12 months, with a committed minimum increase stated in your offer letter. Not “as per company policy”. A number, in writing.
  • For the Engineer: the review is brought forward and uncapped if you commission a unit end to end, on site, on your own, at around month four.
  • A retention bonus paid at 12 months and again at 24 months, with the amounts stated in your offer letter.
Tools, equipment and expenses

No arguing about small money

  • Field expenses reimbursed within seven days. In writing, as a commitment.
  • A fixed monthly field allowance for the Technician, over and above actual reimbursements, so that nobody ever has to argue about a ₹120 auto fare.
  • An annual tools and components budget for the Engineer, which you can spend without asking permission for every part.
  • Safety equipment provided and replaced when worn — full-body harness, helmet, insulated tools, footwear. This is not a benefit; it is our obligation.
Working arrangements

Hyderabad, six days

  • Primary place of work: Hyderabad, Telangana.
  • Working days: Monday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with flexibility around field deployments and trials.
  • Leave: 12 days casual/sick leave and 12 days earned leave per year, plus public holidays.
  • Field travel: both roles involve travel to installation and trial sites across India, including remote and high-altitude locations. Travel is on company account.
  • Compensatory off: days worked at site on Sundays and public holidays are compensated with time off.

WHAT WE ARE NOT OFFERING

So that nobody is disappointed later

We would rather tell you these now than let you discover them in month two.

×

No ESOP at this stage

We are bootstrapped with no external funding round, which means an equity grant would have no valuation, no liquidity and no honest way to price it. We would rather pay you properly in cash than hand you a certificate. When there is a round, there will be a pool, and the people who were here first will be in it.

×

No work-from-home

This is a hardware company; the bench is in Hyderabad.

×

No large structured L&D programme

No HR business partner, and no clear ladder above you yet. There are five of us.

Your CV / resume (PDF).

Engineer — a short portfolio of your projects: photographs, a short video, a GitHub or Drive link, schematics, or anything that shows what you have built. One page is enough. Substance matters more than presentation.

Technician — photographs of work you have done, a list of equipment you have installed or repaired, and any trade certificates.

A short note of 150–200 words answering one question: describe one thing you built or fixed that you are proud of, what went wrong along the way, and how you solved it.

Your current location, your notice period, and confirmation that you can work at Gandhinagar for the first two months and relocate to Hyderabad thereafter.

Your current and expected compensation.

Selection process

01

Shortlisting, based on demonstrated project and hands-on work.

02

A technical discussion, online or in person, about what you have built.

03

A practical assessment at the bench — for the Engineer, a small build, debug or firmware task; for the Technician, a soldering, fault-finding and wiring task.

04

A final discussion with the founding team, followed by an offer.

We will tell you where you stand at each stage, including when the answer is no. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and both positions remain open until filled.

A note on fair hiring: BharatVijay will never request payment from an applicant at any stage of recruitment. We do not work with agents who charge candidates. If anyone asks you for money in our name, please write to info@bharatvijay.com.

BharatVijay Nexgen Innovation Private Limited is an equal-opportunity employer. We select on the basis of demonstrated skill, integrity and willingness to learn. Ex-servicemen and candidates from technical trade backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.
