Engineer — Electronics / Mechatronics
Help design, build, test and field-deploy autonomous, solar-powered electronic systems — from the sensor and the PCB all the way to the radio link, the server, and the mast it stands on.
ROLE AT A GLANCE
The upper half of this range is for candidates who can already demonstrate three or more of the required skills below in work they have actually built. If you are a fresher with one strong project, apply — but expect the lower half, and expect us to say so plainly. For an exceptional candidate who clears the four-month milestone described below, we will go further.
WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO
The work, concretely
Design, assemble, bring up and debug electronic hardware — microcontroller boards, sensor interfaces, power and DC subsystems.
Write and debug firmware and embedded software (C / C++ / Python / MicroPython) for ESP32, STM32, Arduino-class and Raspberry Pi-class devices.
Integrate and calibrate sensors — wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, rainfall — and validate them against reference data.
Build and tune RF and wireless links: VHF/UHF, LoRa, GSM/4G modems, antennas, cabling, link budgets and real range testing in the field.
Set up and manage IoT and network infrastructure — gateways, routers, VPNs, static routing, port forwarding, MQTT/HTTP pipelines, and store-and-forward behaviour on unreliable links.
Configure, harden and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu/Debian): deployment, service management, logging, backups and remote access for unattended field units.
Work on solar power and battery systems — sizing, charge controllers, load budgeting and long-duration autonomy testing.
Produce CAD drawings and simulations for enclosures, mounts, masts and mechanical assemblies, and see them through fabrication.
Support fabrication, assembly and quality checks of production units, and write the assembly, test and installation documentation that goes with them.
Travel to installation sites, commission systems, train users and resolve field issues.
Maintain clean technical records — schematics, BOMs, test logs, revision notes. In our sector, traceability and documentation are not optional.

We are specific about this, because “you will learn a lot” is what every employer says and it is worth nothing.
The RF and data link, and the ground-station software — end to end
Design, build, debug and deploy — including being the person on the phone when it fails at a customer site.
Commission a unit end to end, on site, on your own
Clear that and your first salary review is brought forward and is not capped.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
What you need to bring
B.E./B.Tech in Mechatronics, Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation or a closely related discipline. A strong Diploma holder with exceptional practical work will also be considered.
Technical skills — required
IoT systems
Practical experience building connected devices — sensors, microcontrollers, connectivity, data to a server.
RF and wireless communication
Working understanding of radio links, frequency bands, antennas, cabling, signal loss and practical range testing.
Networking
Ability to set up and troubleshoot a network-based system end to end — IP addressing, routing, firewalls, VPN, remote access.
Linux and server management
Comfortable on the command line; able to install, configure, secure and maintain a Linux server without hand-holding.
Electronics fundamentals
Circuit analysis, confident use of multimeter and oscilloscope, soldering, board bring-up and systematic fault-finding.
Programming
C / C++ and Python at a working level, for both embedded firmware and supporting tools and scripts.
We do not expect all six at expert level at 0–3 years. We do expect three of them at working depth, honestly described, and the appetite to learn the rest here.
This matters to us more than marks. You must have built things. College, hobby, internship or freelance electronics and robotics projects that you designed, built and made work — with photographs, video, code repositories, schematics, or a working prototype you can show and explain. Tell us what broke and how you fixed it. That is what we will ask about.
Highly desirable
CAD drawing and simulation — SolidWorks, Fusion 360, FreeCAD, AutoCAD or equivalent, including basic structural or thermal simulation.
Mechanical design and fabrication — enclosures, brackets, mounts, mast assemblies, sheet metal, 3D printing, machining, weatherproofing and ingress protection.
PCB design and layout — KiCad, Altium, Eagle or EasyEDA — schematic capture, layout, fabrication files and working with board houses.
Solar and off-grid DC power systems.
Domain exposure — weather instrumentation, aviation systems, GNSS, audio broadcast or SCADA-type systems.
Basic web or dashboard development — HTML/JS, Node, Flask or similar, for data display and configuration interfaces.
Version control (Git) and disciplined documentation habits.
We are looking for one engineer who can cover both the electronic and the mechanical side. If your strength is clearly electronics and you have little mechanical design ability, apply anyway and say so plainly — we may open a separate Mechanical Engineer (Design & Fabrication) position to work alongside you. Please do not overstate what you can do. We will find out in week one, and honesty at this stage counts in your favour.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN THE PERSON
Beyond the skill list
Genuine curiosity about how things work, and the stubbornness to keep going until they do.
Willingness to do the unglamorous parts — crimping cables, drilling a mount, sitting through a 48-hour soak test, writing the test report.
Ownership: you finish what you start, and you tell us early when something is not going to work.
Comfort with ambiguity. In a small company the specification is often written by the person building the thing. Sometimes that will be you.
Willingness to travel to remote sites, work outdoors in difficult weather and terrain, and stay on site until the system works.
Discretion. We work in the defence and aviation space; confidentiality about customers, drawings and technical data is a condition of employment.
Clear written and spoken English and the ability to explain a technical problem simply. Hindi is useful; Telugu or Gujarati is a bonus, not a requirement.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
₹4,50,000 – ₹6,50,000 per annum, fixed
100% fixed pay — no variable component to chase. Plus the full package below, which applies to both positions.
EPF from day one
Employer contribution over and above the quoted salary. Paid on a fixed date every month — a date, not “by the first week”.
₹5,00,000 medical cover
A family floater — including your parents. Not standard at a company of our size. We think it should be. Personal accident cover as well.
Early, uncapped review
Commission a unit end to end on your own at around month four and your first review is brought forward and is not capped.
Annual tools budget
A tools and components budget you can spend without asking permission for every part. Field expenses reimbursed within seven days.
The Gandhinagar deployment starts on day one
The first two months are an active project deployment in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Accommodation and travel are paid by the company, over and above salary, with a deployment allowance paid fortnightly in advance. This posting is not optional. Please apply only if you can commit to it — we say it here rather than at offer stage because we would rather lose you now than in week three.

A technical discussion, online or in person, about what you have built.
A practical assessment at the bench — a small build, debug or firmware task.
A final discussion with the founding team, followed by an offer.
